Kataklysmos is coming up, offering a long weekend which is sure to see the beaches and seaside towns attract crowds as various Flood Festivals are put on in celebration of the day.
Larnaca’s celebration of Kataklysmos is perhaps the biggest with festivities lasting for six days. Until June 19, the entire Foinikoudes promenade will be decorated with stalls, games on the sand and numerous folklore performances. As per usual, the event includes a traditional bazaar along the length of the promenade, traditional demonstrations, food, drink, water-based activities and competitions, and a programme of premium cultural performances.
