This summer is set to be thriving with all of the usual festivals of the season, bringing live music, art and films to entertain on summer nights. Bouncing back from the pandemic mayhem, the annual festivals are making a comeback this summer and the agenda is filling up rather quickly. Joining the list of events is the Lemesos International Documentary Festival, which returns to the big screen for its 17th edition.
This summer’s agenda includes some of the best and most awarded documentaries of the year from Cyprus and the world, in a dynamic line-up. The need for raising political and social awareness through the medium of film, along with the innovative audio-visual account of the human experience through a wide spectrum of subject matters and cinematic narratives lies at the core of this year’s edition, which showcases cinematic gems from Cyprus and the world – all for the first time in Cyprus.
