There is a small cafe on the edge of the beach, next to the sea, and a wonderful taverna with great views built on the top of the hill.

Two more excellent, sandy beaches can be found in Kalathas (3 km) and in Stavros (4 km north) with soft sand and clear waters. For the daily shopping the nearby hamlet of Chorafakia is only 1 km, there you can find a few shops and tavernas. In Chorafakia there is also a bus stop with frequent (six times per day) transportation connection with the centre of Chania.

Tersanas is 20 minutes far from the international airport of Chania and half an hour from the port of Souda.
